Albuquerque Vet-Co is proud to announce that they are the official vet for Best Friend’s Animal Society. We have a strong commitment to the A
lbuquerque animal community and were the first veterinary clinic in Albuquerque to work with animal rescue groups to improve the help of animal rescues. We have been working with Best Friends since the program came to Albuquerque in April of 2012, assisting with their Cat Initiative to eliminate Albuquerque’s homeless cat population. The Best Friends Cat Initiative uses a method (Trap/Neuter/Release), which has proven to be the only successful humane long-term solution to control cat populations. In an ongoing effort to reduce the homeless cat population, Best Friends will be using Vet-Co exclusively for the veterinary needs of their Cat Initiative. Cindy Houghton, manager of Vet-Co, said
“We are so proud of the work we have done with the Best Friends Animal Society and are very excited to be their official vet clinic for New Mexico.”
Vet-Co continues to do work with New Mexico’s animal rescue groups helping to improve the health of animal rescues and support the endeavors of the rescue community. Help support a healthy animal population by getting your cat spayed or neutered!
As Bob Barker would say…. “Bob Barker reminding your to help control the pet population. Have your pet spayed or neutered. Good night everybody!”
