In celebration of Pet Dental Health Month, we want to show you how to brush your cat’s teeth. Brushing teeth is vital to dental health for humans and for felines. Did you know that 85% of cats over the age of 3 have some sort of periodontal disease? Sounds terrible, doesn’t it? The best way to combat dental health issues is to brush your cat’s teeth regularly. I am sure you are thinking we are crazy for suggesting you try this. Cat’s are less than cooperative on the best of occasions. Here is a great video to show you how to successfully brush your cat’s teeth.

If you suspect that your cat is having any dental issues, please bring them into the Vetco on Menaul in Albuquerque to have their teeth evaluated. Also, if your cat is getting aggressive, do not try to brush their teeth. You do not want to get hurt, or hurt your cat, just to give them clean teeth. If they are not allowing you to brush their teeth, contact a professional groomer or vet, who can help you.
